Step One: The Survey

• When you contact Aarid to obtain information about your move, our first step is to coordinate a time for a professional surveyor to meet with you and perform an estimate. We’ll work around your schedule, offering evening or week-end appointments.

• Our surveyor will take a detailed inventory of the contents of your home and identify items which cannot be transported, such as flammables. We’ll also note items which require special attention such as antique furniture, pianos or liquors.

• Finally; we’ll perform an estimate based upon the volume of the goods to be shipped. We’ll offer you information to help you prepare for moving day.

Step 2: Determining Rates

• We’re proud of our record of accuracy in determining the cost of your move. Our rates are based upon a calculation of goods to be transported, and the more details we get from you, the better.

• Because Aarid owns warehouses and retains staff, we can keep our costs lower. In other words, there is no “middle man.” That means you get experienced, bonded, insured staff with allegiance to our company working to protect your assets. All at a competitive price!

Step 3: Liability/Claims Protection

• While we never anticipate breakage, damage or loss, we do recommend carefully considering insuring your most precious items. Our professional surveyor can review our options with you during your initial meeting.

• We ask that you provide our surveyor with a detailed account of the value of the items you wish to insure.

• Once we create a detailed inventory of your assets, we can review with you options for insurance to cover potential losses.

Step 4: How Pick-Up Works

• On the day of your move, Aarid’s staff will arrive in a timely manner and begin the process of taking an inventory of the items you assign us to ship.

• Once we’ve completed the process of carefully packing your goods, we’ll ask for your signature approving everything has been loaded to your satisfaction, and your move is underway!
